Eureka: Part I - Saturday

If you have been wondering where I have been, I have been in Eureka, CA.
Otherwise known as the place where I was born (California Girl, am I right?)

I have spent 3.5 days in Eureka. I say 3.5 days because I drove there from Utah all the way to Eureka (Northern California.) I started my quest on Friday and showed up there at 8 pm. I couldn't remember how to walk. Worth it.

Up above is one of the many pictures of Moonstone Beach, which is where we went to on Saturday with my dear ole Grandpa Bruce.

Very beautiful place, but the water is freezing, and so the sacrifice I had to make while taking this picture was that I stood in the freezing water for, like, 20 min. So, Pneumonia.

To the left, is my older sister Yasmeen, holding hands with my younger brother Brandon, and her husband Kyle, in the background.

My G-Pa was sitting peacefully on a beach chair nearby.

My dad, was juggling with a soccer ball, my mom was taking selfies, and my older brother Bruce was with my dear ole G-Pa.

And, I was obviously taking this pic.

I came to Eureka, to see my Grandparents, Bruce and Georgia.
It was very fun seeing them again, and I spent countless hours listening to their stories (Especially of my Grandfather's.)

This is also another picture I took. Which are of rocks with barnacles on them, and the little tide pool that was around them.

Which had little weird fish in them.

And, when I put my sandy feet in the water, I'm pretty sure they bit me.

Help.

After this we went to go eat at Porters Street, a quaint Barbecue place, which is absolutely delicious-o. And, then we relaxed at my Grandparents House.
You must be jealous.

~As you can tell this is Part I, there are two more parts to come

Squinting No More

Yes, yes it is true. I am no longer a squinter.

In case you didn't know, I have bad eyesight. Now, I wouldn't say I am blind as a bat, but I need some optical assistance (which now are my contacts)

In case you didn't know about a year ago I had joined the glasses club. Now, it's not like the breakfast club, where it's filled with people who put cereal in ham sandwiches (or was it bologna?) and do little lipstick tricks.

I wasn't a permanent member of this glasses club because I only wore my glasses when I went driving or couldn't see the board at school.

And, to your left you will see my crystal clear frame glasses. Which in fact are very cool.

But I now wear contacts. And so I am no longer a permanent squinter. And, it might be better than my crystal clear glasses.

The only problem is that now, I have lost my mysteriousness and aloofness I had when I would squint at people or when I just ignored things because I couldn't see them. Sigh. Now I have to use my personality to impress people.

I bet they’re listening to Pompeii by Bastille, remembering the good old days

I am a person who listens to music.

Pins and Strings

Recently I began guitar lessons.

Prior to guitar lessons I took piano lessons. And was quite excellente with 'em keys.

But now I have switched to guitar.

And, I am in pain. My left hand hurts with the memory of pressing on the hard strings of the guitar.

CURSE YOU E STRING! My guitar should be apologizing to my little baby left hand.

THE upside though is that I will be totes professional annnndddddd just like dominoes. I will be right with a future ukulele after learning this suffering.

I've also realized that you should always have your fingernails short and never even the tiniest of fingernail popping up.

Because it WILL BRING PAIN AND UNCOMFORTABLENESS.

But, other than that, I am having a swell time with my cute little acoustic guitar, with my swell teacher.

P.S. Piano is easier to play than guitar

Sincerely,
                   ME,  MISS. BROOKE
Missing the comfort of her piano
Even though it's currently 15 steps away from her.

Sitting at the Table with Harry Potter

In case you didn't know, I am quite obsessed with Harry Potter. Recently, my sister, told me to take a quiz on Pottermore to see which house you would be sorted in to. Being a Harry Potter nerd like myself, I decided to do so.

Now, if you haven't taken this quiz, you should. I don't usually say this word because this creepy skater kid in my 8th grade history class always said it, but it's pretty legit. It's created by J.K. Rowling, the creator of this magical series. I took the quiz and was shocked that it didn't involve, your favorite animal nor your favorite color type of questions. It was questions like, how would you want people to see you? Things that would make sense.

But back to business, I took this quiz and if the picture above wasn't a big enough hint, then I'll just let you know, I got Gryffindor. GRYFFINDOR! I'm sitting at the cool table with freaking HARRY POTTER! I know I know, it's something to be completely jelly about. (Please appreciate this gif I posted of Snape, especially if you are jelly because you're Hufflepuff, aka my sis and bro)

GRYFFINDOR FOREVER!

Appreciate also, the fact that I made the photo of the girl with the sorting hat, on Photoshop.WHAT?!

All They Had Was Fro-Yo

Hello there! I am back, back again. If you can't already tell, there I am wearing a fine little outfit, in a garden-like thing, eating some fro-yo even though I wanted a sundae. Oh well. Also, during this moment the fro-yo melted and fell all over my leg and hands. (I also have a pic of me cleaning the melted deliciousness off of my leg)

This was taken on Saturday, June 20th,  and it was such a nice day, hot as poo, but good. I went shopping with my sister, younger brother, and my mom. We went through Salt Lake City. I even got chocolate, a smoothie, and new shorts!

To your left you will find my deliciouso smoothie and my shorts in a bag.

And to your right you will find this gorgeous
little sitting at City Creek Center, it was so nice the birds were chirping and kids were sticking their heads in the water. Oh, nature.

Summer Wishlist

Summer has finally arrived, and that means ice cream, sleep, and figuring out what to do in my newly acquired spare time. I've discovered that this summer will contain lots of figuring out what to do in my newly acquired spare time. I guess this blog will do. And so, these items are what is on my wishlist of summer. Oh Summer, you're finally mine again.

When my hair needs to be hidden from the world. And, when I want to look IT-Girl cool or make an outfit look pretty snazzy.
